Tips for Email Signature Symbols
- Keep it simple. One or two icons per line is plenty. Too many symbols look cluttered and unprofessional.
- Test across clients. Send a test email to yourself on different devices (phone, desktop, webmail) to make sure your symbols display correctly.
- Prefer text symbols over emoji. Characters like โ and โ render more consistently than colourful emoji (๐ง, ๐ฑ) across corporate email systems.
- Use separators wisely. A single pipe (|) or middle dot (ยท) between items creates a clean, scannable layout.
