About Wingdings

Wingdings is a dingbat font created by Microsoft in 1990 that renders letters as various symbols, arrows, and icons. It was originally bundled with Windows 3.1 and became widely known for turning ordinary text into mysterious-looking symbols.

Unlike the original Wingdings font, which requires the font to be installed to display correctly, this translator converts text to standard Unicode symbols. This means the output works everywhere — on phones, tablets, Macs, and any web browser — without needing any special fonts.

The Unicode symbols used include dingbats, arrows, geometric shapes, and miscellaneous symbols that visually resemble the classic Wingdings characters. This makes them perfect for creative social media posts, coded messages between friends, or just having fun with text.
