About Hanukkah Symbols

Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, is an eight-day Jewish celebration commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. The menorah ๐Ÿ•Ž is the central symbol of Hanukkah, representing the miracle of one day's oil lasting eight nights.

The Star of David โœก is the most recognised symbol of Judaism, featured on the flag of Israel and commonly used in Hanukkah decorations. The dreidel, a four-sided spinning top, is a traditional Hanukkah game, while Hanukkah gelt (chocolate coins ๐Ÿช™) are given to children.

Traditional Hanukkah foods include sufganiyot (jelly doughnuts ๐Ÿฉ) and latkes (potato pancakes), both fried in oil to commemorate the miracle. These symbols and emojis are perfect for creating Happy Hanukkah and Chag Sameach digital greetings.
